MAHATMA HANSRAJ BLOOD DONATION CAMP

A brilliant orator, a charming, warm & noble thinker and philosopher Shri Poonm Suri Ji, President of DAV College Managing Committee & Pradhan of Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Sabha visioned for a charismatic initiative to give a new direction to the DAVians and countrymen by his mesmerizing idea and patron. It was 2012 when he visioned for a Green movement & it turned into the mass movement around the whole country & his dream & efforts were well materlized. Around 2.5 lacs saplings were planted & well maintained till date, which will not only pure the environment but also will nourish all the lives on the earth.
It was just a beginning of renaissance for the DAV organization as the helm of DAV is under his idealistic & ethical guidelines which added more feathers on the cap of DAV just because of his endeavour & perseverance of this great personality.
Year 2013 witnessed a bigger & more dynamic movement with the theme of “Boond” (Save Water) by Shri Punam Suri Ji. The basic need of survival for both flora & fauna is under the constant threat of scarcity & was realized by this patriotic personality. The thought turned into a mass movement overnight & captured everybody’s attention “SAVE WATER –SAVE LIFE” became the mission of every life.
In year 2014, the illustrious as a maker of modern India & DAV organization one more unparalled & profound service was initiated by Shri Punam Suri Ji which influenced all people before his intellectual & visionary personality. Now it is the mission of “Blood Donation” that spreaded around the country as a forest fire. The movement witnessed great enthusiasm among all the DAVians around the world. DAV Public School, colleges & Arya Samaj people whole heartedly participated in this noble cause and made the programme upto sky’s limit.
Under the blessings & patron of the great personality Shri Punam Suri Ji & multifaceted Director of DAV Public Schools, Delhi & NCR Dr.(Mrs.)Nisha Peshin organized Mahatma Hansraj Blood Donation Camp at DAV Public School, Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad to be the part of this noble cause. The whole staff alognwith the Principal Mrs. Abha Gangal as well as the parents devotionally participated in this movement and felt thankful & obliged of Shri Punam Suri Ji who became the source of inspiration, a torch bearer & flambeau of this mission. The elite team of Doctors from Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, Delhi supported the movement by his medical support.
The camp started sharp at 9.00AM and the spirited parents & staff led it till 3.00PM. There were long queues of donors. Each donor was given refreshment before and after the donation & a blanket was provided to each donor as a mark of tribute for their noble gesture. The camp ended successfully by 3.00PM with the collection of around 150 unit blood.
